Preston Wolfe, Plymouth's leader in runs on the season, led the team again on Friday. Wolfe was dialed in as he went 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI. Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Wawasee back in April of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Wolfe has become a key player for Plymouth: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-9 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Wolfe and Plymouth will look to defend their home field on Monday against NorthWood at 5:30 p.m. The Pilgrims/Rockies got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Panthers thanks in part to Wolfe: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over eight innings pitched.
