Landon Wilmes Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Starting off the list is Worth County/Northeast Nodaway's Landon Wilmes, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Wilmes rushed for 283 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 14.9 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now punched in two or more in the last five games he's played.
The victory was the third in a row for Worth County/Northeast Nodaway, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Wilmes and Worth County/Northeast Nodaway will head out to face off against King City on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Levi Mcafee Leads North Andrew over Princeton
Levi Mcafee produced his most outstanding game to date while leading North Andrew to the win on Friday. Mcafee rushed for 266 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 62 yards.
North Andrew's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-4. Mcafee will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Stanberry on Friday.

Braxon Linville Makes It Two for North Andrew
Another North Andrew player making an appearance on this list is Braxon Linville. He wasn't messing around on Friday, rushing for 215 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 39 yards and a touchdown. The match was his fourth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns.
This season, Linville has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 43.3 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had six rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 12.

On Friday, Albany got the W thanks in part to Kyle Emerson playing the best football he has all season. Emerson picked up 134 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest reception was for an incredible 74 yards.
The victory for Albany keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Emerson and Albany will venture away from home to face off against Pattonsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Albany Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Chase Cline
Chase Cline's big game helped extend Albany's winning streak to seven on Friday. Cline turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 84 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, while also throwing for 134 yards and two touchdowns. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.
On the year, Cline has thrown 14 touchdowns while averaging 103.9 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 20.86 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 55.43 rushing yards.
