Whites Creek has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge RePublic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
After soaring to 63 points the game before, Whites Creek were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were beaten by East Nashville Magnet 61-22. While losing is never fun, Whites Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Eagles are ranked 99th).
Whites Creek's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jordyn Simmons, who scored eight points, and Unique Chatmon who scored six points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 75-8, which was the final score in RePublic's tilt against the Eagles on Tuesday. RePublic has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Whites Creek's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6. As for RePublic, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Whites Creek against the in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 51-13 win. Will Whites Creek repeat their success, or do the have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
