The Northeast Academy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Ridgecroft, falling 47-14. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northeast Academy in their matchups with Ridgecroft: they've now lost six in a row.
Cole Taylor was Northeast Academy's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Jake Parks held things down on the boards with six rebounds.
Northeast Academy bumped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Ridgecroft, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeast Academy will take on Pungo Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pungo Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Ridgecroft, Ridgecroft and Oakwood will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Oakwood comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last 11 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
