The Christ School Greenies will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. Christ School will be strutting in after a victory while Charlotte Country Day School will be coming in after a defeat.
Christ School fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. Everything went their way against Metrolina Christian Academy on Friday as Christ School made off with a 43-19 victory. With Christ School ahead 29-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Christ School got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaden Brown out in front who rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Mason Holtzclaw, who punched in two rushing scores.
Meanwhile, Charlotte Country Day School suffered a rough 41-21 loss at the hands of Charlotte Christian on Friday. While losing is never fun, Charlotte Country Day School can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 114th, while Charlotte Christian is ranked 22nd).
The losing side was boosted by Khalel Wright, who rushed for 64 yards and three touchdowns.
Christ School is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-6 record this season. As for Charlotte Country Day School, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Christ School was able to grind out a solid victory over Charlotte Country Day School when the teams last played back in October of 2022, winning 24-13.
