Softball Recap: Boise Has No Trouble Against Ridgevue

Boise won the last time they faced Ridgevue and things went their way on Friday too. The Brave put the hurt on the Warhawks with a sharp 15-3 win. The Brave might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Boise got a massive performance out of Kate Walsh, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs Walsh has posted over her last 11 contests. Lily Binford was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Walsh wasn't the only one making solid contact: Boise kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The Brave are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Boise's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Ridgevue, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Boise will take on Caldwell at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Brave's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Ridgevue, they will square off against Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.79 runs per game on average), something the Warhawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
