The Ubly Bearcats were the 60-48 winner over the Caro Tigers when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. Ubly fell just short of Caro by a score of 48-46.
Caro's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evan Langmaid, who scored 18 points along with 4 blocks and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Langmaid has scored at least 25% of Caro's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor McGarry, who scored 16 points.
Ubly's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Caro, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Ubly will head out on the road to face off against Unionville-Sebewaing at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Caro, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Harbor Beach at 7:30 p.m.
