The Northeast Dubois Jeeps will head out on the road to square off against the North Daviess Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Perry Central scored an imposing 65 points on Friday, Northeast Dubois still came out on top. Northeast Dubois came out on top in a nail-biter against Perry Central and snuck past 68-65.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northeast Dubois to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grant Goller, who scored 26 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Goller has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Adam Dooley, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, North Daviess strolled past North Knox with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 53-35. Given North Daviess' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while North Knox is ranked 326th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Northeast Dubois now has a winning record of 10-9. As for North Daviess, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-7.
Northeast Dubois was dealt a bruising 66-25 loss at the hands of North Daviess in their previous matchup back in December of 2021. Can Northeast Dubois avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
