The Garfield Bulldogs will head out to face off against West Seattle at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Garfield will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Garfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Mercer Island 23-1 on Monday. Considering the Bulldogs have won eight matchups by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Sammy Breckenridge made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Sula Yogi-Adams was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Mae Valenta was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Garfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 15 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, West Seattle lost 12-3 to Holy Names Academy on Friday. West Seattle has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Molly Lefkowitz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Garfield pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for West Seattle, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
West Seattle's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Garfield has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for West Seattle, though, as they've been averaging only 3.7 strikeouts. Will Garfield keep running through batters, or will West Seattle buck the trend?
Garfield took their victory against West Seattle in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
