Montesano got themselves on the board against Elma on Wednesday, but Elma never followed suit. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 4-0. The four-run effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Montesano's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Elma, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3-1.

Montesano will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
