After having lost a blowout in their previous game against General McLane, Mercer was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers a 3-0 shutout. Considering Mercer have won nine contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Mercer pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 54 goals over those eight matchups. As for Mercyhurst Prep, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 10-9.

As of now, neither Mercer nor the Lakers have any future games scheduled.
