North Mac will head out on the road to square off against Pana at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
North Mac is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Riverton on Thursday as they made off with a 12-4 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their two-run performance the game before.

Taylor Keirs was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, North Mac let Addison Cole and Lennox Wiseman run wild. Cole went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run, while Wiseman got on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. That's the most hits Cole has posted since back in March. Brittnee Lange also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Pana challenged Warrensburg-Latham on Thursday. The Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cardinals, sneaking past 3-1.
Like North Mac, Pana also got a great game from a two-way player: Shelby Ashcraft. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Ashcraft was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one double.
Ashcraft wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Allie Sarver, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
North Mac picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-17-1. As for Pana, they now have a winning record of 11-10-1.
North Mac skirted past Pana 3-1 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Mac since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
