The Green Bay East Red Devils' rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth loss in a row. They were just a bucket shy of a win and fell 53-52 to the West De Pere Phantoms. The loss was just more heartbreak for the Red Devils, who fell 52-49 when the teams previously met in January.
Green Bay's defeat pushed them down to 3-16. The victory -- their fourth in a row -- raised De Pere's record to 16-4.
Green Bay will stay at home against Shawano Community Friday. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Green Bay, but that can only make success all the sweeter. De Pere is on the road again Friday and plays against New London. Each game has meant fewer and fewer points for De Pere in their past three games, so New London might be catching them at a good time.
