Evangel Christian had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Mt. Pleasant Christian Lions with a sharp 15-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lightning, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Evangel Christian got a big performance out of ZAC GROSSMANN, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. GROSSMANN is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kemp Swords, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Evangel Christian's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Mt. Pleasant Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evangel Christian will head out to challenge Tuscaloosa Home Educators at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lightning are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Mt. Pleasant Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Cornerstone Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 14 runs per game this season.
