The John Bapst Memorial Crusaders pushed their score all the way to 58 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Old Town. John Bapst Memorial has not had much luck with Old Town recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isak Robichaud, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logun McMahon, who scored 15 points.
John Bapst Memorial dropped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Old Town, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Bapst Memorial will square off against Ellsworth at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Old Town, they will head out on the road to square off against Houlton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Houlton is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
