The Erie Tigers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They claimed a resounding 58-19 victory over Brighton at home. With Erie ahead 29-8 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Erie to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alexandria Ridenour, who scored 11 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ridenour has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Maddie Hartel, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Erie's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Brighton, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Erie won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Knights at 12:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Fairview is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Brighton, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Red Wolves at 11:30 a.m. on February 3rd. Loveland comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
