Ema Davis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Johnson City let Emma Quinonez and Sarah Kuvet run wild. Quinonez went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Kuvet went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave Quinonez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chloe Clark, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Johnson City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive contests.
