The Hoxie Indians entered their tilt with the LaCrosse Leopards with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Hoxie simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat LaCrosse 61-6 on the road. Considering Hoxie has won seven games by more than 45 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Braydon Scheetz, who rushed for 94 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries. Scheetz was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards. Another player making a difference was Duncan Bell, who rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
When it comes to explaining why LaCrosse lost, one person who can't be blamed is Gage Burk. Despite the final result, he picked up 68 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Hoxie's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for LaCrosse, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Hoxie will face off against Ell-Saline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Ell-Saline's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last seven games. LaCrosse does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
