Last Tuesday, Eastern Wayne came up short against Beddingfield and fell 47-35. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eastern Wayne in their matchups with Beddingfield: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, North Johnston didn't have too much trouble with Franklin Academy at home on Wednesday as they won 37-20.
Eastern Wayne's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-2. As for North Johnston, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.
Eastern Wayne came out on top in a nail-biter against North Johnston in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, sneaking past 34-32. Will Eastern Wayne repeat their success, or does North Johnston have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
