Eagle is 1-9 against Owyhee since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Mustangs will take on the Storm at 4:00 p.m. Eagle is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
Eagle barely beat Kuna the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Kavemen with a sharp 8-2 victory on Monday. The Mustangs have beaten the Kavemen the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Kavemen has come to flipping the script.
Peyton Bargen was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Bargen was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, Eagle let Brooke Frame and Aly Vieira run wild. Frame went 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Vieira went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. Those three RBI gave Frame a new career-high.
Eagle hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Owyhee strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with an 8-3 win over Capital. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
McKenna Schab was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Haiylee Reeves, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Owyhee's victory was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Eagle, their record now sits at 15-5.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Eagle has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .455. However, it's not like Owyhee struggles in that department as they've averaged .472. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Eagle might still be hurting after the 8-1 loss they got from Owyhee when the teams last played back in April. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
