SkyView Academy hasn't had much luck against Lyons recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Lions at 4:00 p.m. SkyView Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, SkyView Academy earned a 12-8 win over Colorado Springs Christian. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

The team relied heavily on Isaac Dove, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with seven stolen bases, five runs, and one RBI. Those seven stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Andrew Bieniek also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
SkyView Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Lyons suffered their closest defeat since April 12, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Brush by a score of 5-3.
Lyons saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leo Irvin, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Kaion Kishiyama was another, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
SkyView Academy pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Lyons, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Lyons' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: SkyView Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .337. It's a different story for Lyons, though, as they've only averaged .248. Will they be able to contain SkyView Academy's hitters?
SkyView Academy came up short against Lyons in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 7-2. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
