The Magnolia West Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Brenham Cubs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many goals in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Last Tuesday, Magnolia West came up short against College Station and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Brenham's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Montgomery on Tuesday. Brenham has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Magnolia West's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-5-2. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only scored one goal over those three games. As for Brenham, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7-1 record this season.
Magnolia West took their win against Brenham in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 6-0. Does Magnolia West have another victory up their sleeve, or will Brenham turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
