The Poudre Impalas were the 71-44 winner over the Prairie View Thunderhawks when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Poudre took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Prairie View on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Javon Brewton was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with five assists and three steals for Prairie View. The contest was Brewton's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Andrew Holman, who scored 13 points.
Poudre's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Prairie View, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Poudre will be playing at home against Loveland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Loveland is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Prairie View, they will head out on the road to face off against Rocky Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
