The Randolph Southern Rebels scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took down Anderson Prep Academy 64-48. The victory was some much needed relief for Randolph Southern as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Randolph Southern's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bree Smith led the charge by scoring 22 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Haileigh Allen, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Randolph Southern's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Anderson Prep Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.
Randolph Southern will face off against Tri at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Tri focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Thursday. As for Anderson Prep Academy, they will take on Tri-Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Central is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
