The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Toll Gate in their matchups with Narragansett: they've now lost four in a row.
Toll Gate's loss came despite strong showings from Dylan Perreault and Brayden Healey. Perreault scored nine points along with six rebounds, while Healey scored six points along with six rebounds.
Toll Gate's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-4. As for Narragansett, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Toll Gate will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Hope at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Rhode Island (Hope is ranked 46th, while Toll Gate is ranked 37th). As for Narragansett, they will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
