Softball Recap: Red Lion Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Red Lion barely beat Spring Grove the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Rockets on Thursday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

The win (which was Red Lion's third in a row) raised their record to 9-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Spring Grove, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-10.

Coincidentally, Red Lion and Spring Grove will both be playing Dover the next time they take the field. The Lions will host the Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, while the Rockets will head out to face them at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
