The West Morris Mendham Minutemen entered their tilt with the River Dell Golden Hawks with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. West Morris Mendham enjoyed a cozy 34-17 victory over River Dell on Thursday.
It was another big night for Kevin King, who rushed for 154 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. King really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run. West Morris Mendham also got a significant boost from Cole Capuzzi, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 110 yards.
West Morris Mendham's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.0 points per game. As for River Dell, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
West Morris Mendham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. River Dell will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Teaneck at 6:00 p.m. on November 8th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Teaneck is ranked 210th, while River Dell is ranked 192nd).
