Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The James Island Trojans walked away with it. They really took it to Wilson for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-6 win at home. The victory was just business as usual for James Island, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Amontrae Scott had a dynamite game for James Island, rushing for 138 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also catching a touchdown. Braxton Scott was another key contributor, throwing for 108 yards and two touchdowns.
James Island's victory was their 14th straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 11-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36 points. As for Wilson, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
James Island will face off against Hartsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hartsville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Wilson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
