The Northside Vikings are on the road again  on Tuesday to play the Staunton River Golden Eagles at 6:00  p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
 Last Wednesday, Northside fell victim to a  tough 15-5 defeat at the hands of Blacksburg.
 Northside saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Camden Spangler, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Even though they lost, Northside  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. That's the most  strikeouts they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Staunton River was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 11-2 walloping at the hands of Franklin County.
 Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Staunton River, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
 Northside came out on top in a nail-biter against Staunton River  when the teams last played  back in May of 2023, sneaking past  1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northside since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
