It was a good run, but the Northside L Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 75-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of Anderson HomeSchool. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Northside L still got an impressive performance from JOEY HEASTON, who scored 36 points along with eight rebounds. The contest was HEASTON's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of LANDON KARNES, who scored 13 points along with six assists.
Kailani McCloud was his usual excellent self, scoring 32 points along with seven rebounds and five assists for Anderson HomeSchool. Those 32 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Matthew Eaks, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Northside L's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Anderson HomeSchool, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside L will take on Thrival Indy Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Thrival Indy Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while Northside L is ranked 18th). Anderson HomeSchool will be home for the holidays to greet Legacy Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
