The Calais Blue Devils's four-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Wednesday. They walked away with a 42-30 victory over Narraguagus. The win was just what Calais needed coming off of a 57-19 defeat in their prior contest.
Kate McPhee was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 19 points. Brenna Critchley was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
The victory got Calais back to even at 1-1. As for Narraguagus, their loss was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calais will square off against Penobscot Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Narraguagus, they will head out on the road to face off against George Stevens Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
