The Real Life Christian Academy Raptors will face off against the Leesburg Yellow Jackets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Real Life Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 16.1 runs per game this season.
While Real Life Christian Academy's victory against Legacy Charter wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raptors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 win over the Eagles on Thursday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Daniella Delgadillo made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up seven earned (and one unearned) runs off 11 hits. Those 17 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Shawn Ramsey, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Rylee Lyon, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.
Meanwhile, Leesburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 8-3 to Windermere Prep.
Rachel Chiles spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Hailey Toothaker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Addison Hunter was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Real Life Christian Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.8 runs over those games. As for Leesburg, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.
Leesburg's pitching crew better be locked in on Tuesday. Real Life Christian Academy hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. It's a different story for Leesburg, though, as they've been averaging only 0 home runs. Will they be able to keep Real Life Christian Academy in the park?
Real Life Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 22-12 defeat they got from Leesburg when the teams last played back in February of 2024.
