If the Forrest Rockets were riding high off their 51-31 takedown of the Cornersville Bulldogs on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Forrest received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 54-40 to Moore County. The contest was a 23-23 toss-up at halftime, but Forrest was outscored by Moore County in the second.
Tristan Goad and Jimmy Bond certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Goad scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Bond scored three points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for Bond.
Forrest's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Moore County, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Forrest will face off against Eagleville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Moore County is on the road again on Thursday and play against Culleoka at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th. Culleoka is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
