Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crownpoint). They walked away with a 48-37 victory over the Cuba Rams on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Crownpoint's victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Cuba, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Crownpoint Eagles take on the Dulce Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cuba, they will head out on the road to square off against Escalante at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
