Wicomico narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Parkside 52-49. The victory was just what Wicomico needed coming off of a 79-59 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Snow Hill came tearing into Saturday's matchup with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Arcadia 73-58. Given Snow Hill's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 47th in Maryland, while Arcadia is ranked 155th in Virginia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Wicomico's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Snow Hill, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-1.
