It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Crane Cranes ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They snuck past Fort Hancock with a 36-31 win. The win was familiar territory for Crane who now have four in a row.
Fort Hancock lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alessandra Jimenez, who scored seven points along with 14 rebounds and seven steals. Jimenez has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackeline Arriaga, who scored 13 points.
Crane's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Fort Hancock, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Christoval the next time they take the court. Fort Hancock will head out to face Christoval at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, while Crane will head out to face them at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.
