On Friday, St. Brendan took a serious blow against Barron Collier, falling 34-7.
Despite the loss, St. Brendan still got an impressive performance from Widley Jean Francois, who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Jean Francois' longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards.
Barron Collier got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Niko Boyce out in front who threw for 143 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Brody Graham was another key contributor, picking up 107 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
St. Brendan's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Barron Collier, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Brendan will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Booker T. Washington at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. Booker T. Washington will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Barron Collier, they will head out on the road to face off against Gulf Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
