King George lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Eli Trulow, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Trulow scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chauncey Walker, who scored 18 points.
James Monroe got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Timothy Ford Jr out in front who scored 21 points. Dezaun Robinson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
King George has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for James Monroe, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-4.
