Certified personal trainer Claude Parcon has joined the MaxPreps team and will serve as the new face of MaxPreps' revamped Training Center, featuring instructions and tips for high school athletes to improve their performance.
"I'm really exciting about launching the new "Claude the Bod" Training Center," Parcon said. "The purpose of the site is to give high school athletes the tools and knowledge necessary to achieve optimum performance, and do so through a simple guided format of documentation and instructional video."
Parcon has been a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor since 2000. Putting his training to the test, Parcon has competed in the The Big Kahuna Triathlon in Santa Cruz, Calif., the Auburn Triathlon (known as the "World's Toughest Half Triathlon") in Auburn, Calif., and the Vineman Triathlon in Santa Rosa, Calif.
For those looking to jumpstart their preparation for next fall, Parcon has outlined a 12-week program concentrating on three types of exercise - flexibility and cardio, core and balance, and resistance and power. Each section is enhanced by user-friendly instructional videos.
