Richardson came tearing into Monday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 59-54 W against the Tyler Legacy Raiders.

Despite the loss, Tyler Legacy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Derein Hollman went 6-for-8 on his way to 13 points. Cason Gray was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Richardson now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Tyler Legacy, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-7 record.

Richardson has already played their next contest, an 89-86 win against Lovejoy on the 30th. As for Tyler Legacy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-55 loss against Lake Travis on the 31st.
