Lee-Scott Academy got a great performance from Braden Martin as he struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). The dominant performance gave Martin a new career-high in strikeouts.
On the hitting side, Lee-Scott Academy let Max Hammer and Beau King run wild. Hammer scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while King went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave King a new career-high. Luke Donaldson also deserves some recognition as he stolen his first stolen base of the season.
The win got Lee-Scott Academy back to even at 2-2. As for LAMP, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lee-Scott Academy will head out to face off against Saint James at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for LAMP, they will head out on the road to take on Percy Julian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
