Thomasville's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
College Prep & Leadership Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being MacKenzie Dumbuya, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Da?nysa Holloway, who scored three points along with 15 rebounds and seven steals.
Even though they lost, College Prep & Leadership Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. This was only their 12th loss (out of 12 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Thomasville's victory ended a 22-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-18. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-17.
Thomasville will challenge East Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thomasville and East Davidson are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for College Prep & Leadership Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-40 win vs. Cornerstone Charter on the 9th.
