Decatur is a perfect 10-0 against Parkside since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Seahawks will venture away from home to take on the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Decatur is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.
Parkside's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Decatur hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Seahawks never let Cape Henlopen get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Monday.
Not much got past Lily Rados, who gave up just six hits to keep Cape Henlopen off the board. Rados has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Bailey Griffin was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Parkside and Bennett, and Bennett kept the tradition alive. The Rams fell 12-9 to the Clippers on Monday.
Brecklyn Bounds put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Bounds was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Julia Bright was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Lucy Malone was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Decatur's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. As for Parkside, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2-1.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Decatur hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .434. However, it's not like Parkside struggles in that department as they've averaged .379. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Decatur got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Parkside by a conclusive 17-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Seahawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
