The Mira Loma Matadors''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Lindhurst, falling 49-20. Mira Loma lost against Lindhurst in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 41-12 score last time.
Brennan Collins rushed for 34 yards and two touchdowns. Elijah Keys was his top target, picking up 58 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Brad Williams jr gained 112 total yards.
Lindhurst's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Henri Reed, who rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Kevin Wiley was another key contributor, rushing for 146 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Mira Loma's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Lindhurst, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Mira Loma will head out on the road to face off against Riverbank at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverbank is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Lindhurst does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
