Falmouth was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fairhaven Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-1  back in September.
 While Fairhaven got the win, Falmouth sure made them earn it: two sets took extra rallies. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-16, 23-25,  26-24.
 Layla Clunes paced Falmouth's offense, picking up 14 kills. Clunes got some help from  Kinleigh Mohan and her 29 assists.  Maia Ledwell controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
 Fairhaven found their leader in sophomore  Elodie Cook, who  had seven  digs and five  aces. Cook has been hot recently, having  posted two or more  aces the last three times she's  played.  Brenna Dugan also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first  assist of the season.
Falmouth's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Fairhaven, the  victory was  the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6.
As of now, neither Falmouth nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
