The Woodsboro Eagles can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 59-58 victory over Lasara. The victory was just what Woodsboro needed coming off of a 77-48 defeat in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Woodsboro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taggart Silvas, who scored 22 points. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jordan Zena was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Woodsboro's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Lasara, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.
Woodsboro and Annapolis Christian Academy will face off at 11:45 a.m. on December 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Lasara, they will head out on the road to face off against Harvest Christian on Friday. Harvest Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
