It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Tulare Union The Tribe had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past San Luis Obispo 42-14 at home. Considering Tulare Union has won four matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tulare Union to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Crisp, who threw for 330 yards and four touchdowns while completing 91.4% of his passes. Crisp is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sonny Guess, who gained 109 total yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, San Luis Obispo still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Hernandez, who rushed for 116 yards.
Tulare Union is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for San Luis Obispo, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
Tulare Union will be playing in front of their home fans against Kingsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kingsburg knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Tulare Union likes a good challenge. San Luis Obispo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
