Tri-West Hendricks suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They were outmatched by Westfield at home and fell 68-27. While losing is never fun, Tri-West Hendricks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while Westfield is ranked third).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ryan Miller, who scored eight points. Max Robertson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Danville pushed their score all the way to 57 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pike.
Tri-West Hendricks has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-4 record this season. As for Danville, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-2.
Tri-West Hendricks ended up a good deal behind Danville when the teams last played on January 5th, losing 53-38. Can Tri-West Hendricks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
