Santa Rosa is a perfect 10-0 against Pecos since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Lions will host the Panthers at 11:00 a.m. Santa Rosa will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Santa Rosa got the win against Clayton by a conclusive 19-3. Considering the Lions have won 13 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Landyn Zamora made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Zamora was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

In other batting news, Santa Rosa let Joshua Cordova and Andrew Urban run wild. Cordova went 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one triple, while Urban went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four hits gave Urban a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Daniel Zamora, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Pecos nor Estancia made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Panthers fell 7-3 to the Bears.
Santa Rosa pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.1 runs over those games. As for Pecos, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
Everything went Santa Rosa's way against Pecos when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Santa Rosa made off with a 28-6 win. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
