That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Jaden Jones got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Beacon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 224 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Cornwall Central owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 29-0 victory over Ballston Spa. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Dragons just coasted through the last quarter.
Beacon better keep an eye on Danny Twomey. Another back making a difference was Jordan Bishop, who rushed for 90 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries.
One reason for the win was Cornwall Central's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Quadir Truluck, Jayden Scott, and Ryan Nunez-Gomez, who each picked up one sack apiece. Truluck was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing two fumbles, and making eight total tackles (3.5 for loss).
Beacon's record is now 4-1. As for Cornwall Central, their record now sits at an identical 4-1.
